Home owners can request an exterior treatment, an interior treatment, or both. Exterior treatments are recommended during the Spring months when the spiders (and other insects) are coming out of hiding from the winter. These exterior treatments consist of a technician coming to the property and spraying a liquid chemical on the entire exterior layer of the home. This spraying includes everything up to thirty feet high except for windows, doors, and any other locations the home owner requests not to be treated. Commercial buildings can be treated for spiders in much the same way.
Interior treatments require the technician to come into the home and spray a liquid chemical throughout. The chemical is clear and does not leave a stain where applied. The home owner can be at the home during this spider treatment as it is safe to be in the area. Pets and young kids who might try to interact with the liquid will need to be removed from the area during the process and for a short time after application as the liquid dries.
